libmnl-dev software package provides minimalistic Netlink communication library (devel), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmnl-dev
libmnl-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmnl-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmnl-dev *
You will get with libmnl-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
